Camas Mother's Day Plant & Garden Fair! 5.7.11

Yes, once again we paricipated in the Camas Mother's Day Plant & Garden Fair!

However this year it was hosted at Camas High School!

This is where both our daughters went (well one graduated, and the other ready to go!) to school!

This is our 8th annual year paritipating in the garden fair, and we actually enjoyed being at CHS.

We're ordering our seeds this week!!

Today we were very busy tearing through many seed catalogs and figuring out which types of veggies and herbs we're wanting to grow!

Our favorite seed catalog so far is Territorial...they have not only beautiful pics, but lots of variety on their seeds as well!

This weeks Lavender Highlight: Grosso

This weeks Lavender highlight is the ever so famous "Grosso" variety. It is called the workhorse of all Lavenders, mainly because it is one of the BEST to have around the farm. It will never fail you with the hardyness, and will suprize you with the amount of blooms it will produce for you throughout the Season. Not at all wimpy mind you, don't have to worry yourself with this one! The fragrance is outstanding, as well as a nice tall bloomer. A joy to have! 9+ out a score of 10 on the Lacamas Lavender Farm scale!

Farmer's Markets are getting HOTTER!

Last week's Camas Farmer's Market sure was a hot one!

The market managers were so nice and let all the vendors have little spray misters just so we could stay cool in the HOT heat!

Our New Lawn Mower!

Hello again everyone!

Well, after our last riding lawn mower bit the dust, and I was tired of using the push lawn mower, we decided to purchase a new John Deere riding lawn mower!

We are so excited for our new addition to our farm!

First Camas Farmer's Market...A Success!

Well last 2nd annual [first] Camas Farmer's Market of the season! We are so excited to be able to be a part of this wonderful market for the 2nd year in a row! We hope you enjoy our first market pics! Even though the drizzly rain did have to make an appearance, we as well as everyone else had a wonderful time!

We will be attending the Camas Farmer's Market every Wednesday until about the 1st week of August! Come on down and see for yourself!

Remember! The NEXT Camas Farmer's Market will be on Wednesday, June 2 from 3:00-7:30pm right by the Camas Public Library!
